Ugandan singer King Saha has been released from Jinja Road Police Station following his dramatic arrest in Kyanja.
The singer was reportedly picked up by armed security personnel from his residence on Tuesday evening. Members of his team were injured during the operation and are currently receiving treatment at Mulago Hospital.
Following his release, Saha reportedly went straight to Mulago to check on his injured team members.
“I could not head straight home before checking their situation,” the singer said, adding that he would speak about the incident later.
The circumstances surrounding the arrest remain unclear, with authorities yet to publicly explain the reason for the operation.
The development comes just days before Saha’s highly anticipated Tondeka Ekololo concert, scheduled for Friday.
