Karole Kasita Urges Ugandans to Stop Fuelling Beefs Between Female Artists

Ugandan singer Karole Kasita has called on music fans to stop encouraging rivalries and fuelling beefs between female artists, arguing that musicians should be free to collaborate without being dragged into unnecessary conflicts.

Karole believes Ugandans often contribute to tensions among female musicians by creating competition and expecting them to be enemies, even when they are simply working together.

Speaking about the issue, she noted that male artists are rarely subjected to the same scrutiny when they collaborate with female musicians.

“It only happens with the ladies because if it was Saha sitting, you wouldn’t ask him why he has a song with Sheebah or Spice Diana or Cindy or whoever, and you’d just dance along to the music. You wouldn’t mind, but when it comes to a girl, you want us to fight, and for me, I’m not a fighter,” she said.

Karole added that she has maintained a clean brand throughout her music career without engaging in public feuds and has no intention of starting now.

Her remarks come after she recently collaborated with Sheebah Karungi, a move that attracted attention from fans because Karole has previously expressed admiration for Cindy Sanyu, who has had a longstanding rivalry with Sheebah.

However, Karole insists that her appreciation for one artist does not mean she has to distance herself from another. She revealed that she would actually love to bring both Sheebah and Cindy together on one song.

“That would be amazing, but I don’t think it can happen. They are both great artists, and I love both of them, to be sincere. If we ever did something together, all three of us, Uganda would stay the same,” she added.
