Ugandan singer Vinka has revealed that she has no interest in returning to artiste management, describing the role as one of the most emotionally exhausting jobs in the entertainment industry.
Speaking candidly about her experience, the “Love Panic” hitmaker said managing artistes requires pouring in time, money, and emotional energy, yet the appreciation and loyalty often fall short of expectations.
According to Vinka, managers make countless sacrifices to build an artiste’s career, investing in music, branding, promotions, and personal development. However, despite these efforts, relationships can quickly break down, leaving managers feeling unappreciated.
She noted that the lack of loyalty and the emotional strain involved have made her reluctant to ever take on the responsibility again.
While she did not rule it out completely, Vinka admitted that the experience taught her how demanding artiste management can be, adding that she now prefers to focus on her own music career rather than carrying the burden of guiding another artiste.
Her remarks add to the ongoing conversation about the challenges of artiste management in Uganda’s music industry, where several manager-artiste partnerships have ended in public fallouts over the years.
