Mitchelle Daka has made history after being crowned Miss Universe Uganda 2026, becoming the country’s first ever representative in the Miss Universe pageant. The 29 year old model and entrepreneur emerged victorious over 14 other finalists during the grand finale held at the Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala.
Originally from Budaka District, Daka impressed the judges with her confidence, intelligence and passion for empowering women, earning the coveted crown in the inaugural Miss Universe Uganda competition. Her victory marks a major milestone for Uganda, which is set to debut at the global Miss Universe pageant later this year.
Following her crowning, social media was flooded with congratulatory messages from fans, public figures and fellow beauty queens celebrating her historic achievement. As Miss Universe Uganda 2026, Mitchelle Daka will now carry the national flag onto the international stage, where she hopes to showcase Uganda’s beauty, culture and resilience to the world.
