Ugandan gospel singer Mungu Feni has added another prestigious accolade to his growing list of achievements after winning Best Gospel Artist Content Creator of the Year at the 2026 Africa Content Creators Awards (ACCA) held in Kigali, Rwanda.

Born Bernard Feni, the Arua based musician emerged victorious in one of the ceremony’s most competitive categories, beating nominees from across Africa, including Nigeria’s Gaise Baba, Rwanda’s Chryso Ndasingwa and Meddy, as well as Kenya’s Bella Kombo.

The award is a significant milestone for the fast rising gospel star, whose music has steadily gained international recognition despite operating outside Africa’s traditional entertainment capitals. The ACCA celebrates outstanding digital creators and storytellers across the continent through a combination of public voting and expert evaluation.

An emotional Feni dedicated the award to his fans and to God “This victory belongs to everyone who has believed in me, streamed my music, shared it, and voted for me. From Uganda to every corner of Africa, thank you for walking this journey with me. Above all, I give all the glory to God because none of this would be possible without Him,” he said after receiving the award.

Feni has built an impressive digital presence without relying on large scale concerts. His music is available on major streaming platforms, including Spotify, YouTube, Audiomack, Boomplay, SoundCloud and Shazam, where he has amassed more than three million streams. His songs also enjoy regular airplay on channels such as Trace Gospel, Trace Mziki, Trace Naija, TBN Africa and Pearl Magic, helping him reach audiences across the continent.

The latest recognition adds to an already remarkable year for the singer. Earlier in 2026, he was named Artist of the Yearat Ghana’s Prestigious Personalities Awards, having also won Best New Star Gospel Artist at the 2025/2026 Shining Stars Africa Awards.

Away from music, Mungu Feni is also known for his humanitarian work through the Mungu Feni Foundation and his business, Euro Gold. His foundation has received multiple awards for empowering youth and supporting vulnerable communities in Uganda’s West Nile region.

For Feni, the latest continental award represents more than personal success.

“This inspires me to keep creating music that uplifts people and reminds them there is hope. My mission has always been to use both music and service to make a positive difference,” he said.
